How far in advance should I sign up?
Volunteer spots tend to fill up quickly and are usually booked about a month in advance. We recommend submitting your volunteer request as early as possible. You may be placed on a waiting list depending on availability.
What if I am in need of food?
While we’re honored that you want to volunteer, please note that we cannot guarantee food kits for volunteers to take home. If you or your family are in need of food support, we encourage you to sign up for one of our distribution events instead. Click here to sign up for a food distribtution.
Can I volunteer with a group?
Yes! We welcome volunteer groups from schools, churches, companies, and other organizations. Please indicate the size of your group when completing the application. Please keep in mind groups larger than 10 may not be possible.
Are walk-ins allowed?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate walk-in volunteers. All volunteer shifts must be scheduled in advance to ensure we’re properly staffed and prepared. Please complete the application and wait for confirmation before arriving at any location.
What should I wear when volunteering?
We recommend comfortable, modest clothing and closed-toe shoes. You may be working in a warehouse or outdoors, so dress accordingly for the weather.
How will I know if I’ve been scheduled to volunteer?
After you email your volunteer request, our team will reach out to confirm your volunteer date and location. Please keep an eye on your email and phone for updates.
Why volunteer with god’s pantry?
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering with God's Pantry allows you to make a tangible impact by directly alleviating food insecurity and providing essential resources to those in need.
You’ll support our mission to ensure no child or family goes hungry, connect with your community, and experience the personal fulfillment of giving back.
In addition, you'll develop valuable skills and work alongside a passionate team.
Most importantly, you'll see firsthand the positive changes your efforts bring to individuals and families, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
Please note: Our volunteer opportunities are focused on serving the community. While we understand that some of our volunteers may also be in need of food assistance, it is never guaranteed that food kits will be available to take home after your shift. If you are in need of food support, we encourage you to sign up for one of our food distribution events.
