Our Services
-
Re-Entry Navigation & Case Management
Navigators serve as mentors who strive to create a sense of belonging, consistency and guidance that helps trainees move through a new way of life. Always available through their open door policy, the Navigator and Case Management teams help clients develop plans for the future and direct them toward critical resources.
Our Re-Entry and Prison to Employment Programs empower clients, helping them regain dignity and reintegrate into their communities using trauma-informed strategies. We aim to prevent and reduce recidivism and violence by addressing our communities unique needs as they reintegrate with their communities.
Through collaboration with service providers, city leadership, and schools, we offer comprehensive services in the San Gabriel Valley.

counseling
All of our trainees come from high risk backgrounds (formerly incarcerated, foster youth, experiencing homelessness, gang affiliation, etc.) and come to GP for the opportunity to heal and find purpose in serving the common good.
Counselors work closely with clients to assist in redirecting their life’s course. We use evidence-based and research supported practices and interventions to address the challenges our community members face. Our qualified facilitators and certified counselors use structural education, counseling, and modules, applying them according to each client’s needs.
We offer mental and substance abuse counseling, and different modalities of therapeutic intervention (movement therapy, art, restorative circles, etc.)

Workforce development
Our Workforce programs focuses on providing opportunities for those populations who struggle obtaining and maintaining gainful employment due to their barriers. Many of the trainees, especially our youth and those coming out of incarceration, have never had the experience of working in a professional setting and struggle to fit in. We provide a space for our trainees to develop their employability skills in a safe and appropriately-paced manner.
At any given time we have 80-100 trainees working at our warehouse, sorting, bagging and distributing groceries.
Trainees become eligible through various programs, some internal and some external, which provide them with paid work experience while they are with us.
